• Dr. G. S. Dinesh Babu was born at Shanthi Grama, Hassan District in 1943. He had his education at Bangalore, K.G.F. & Mysore. He graduated from Mysore Medical College in 1966. he joined Mysore Medical Services in 1967. He completed his post graduation from BMC, Bangalore in 1972.
• He is keen on the faculty in various capacitates at BMC, Bellary Medical College & Karnataka Medical College, Hubli.
• He had settled in Iran as a Surgeon for 4 years.
• He was conferred F.I.C.S in 1985.
• He was the President of SSBASICC in 1988.
• He is the chairman of Board of Studies in clinical subjects for Postgraduates at Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
• He is the Postgraduate Examiner at Various universities.
• He has trained many Surgeons in the profession all over the world.
• Presently, he is the Professor & Head of the dept. of Surgery, BMC, Bangalore.
