In the present
day context of Health Care delivery one significant felt need by
every stakeholder is, the legal literacy. Among them, doctors in
particular and health professionals in general are rated prominently.
indiandoctors.com while catering to the diverse needs of health
professionals has taken this initiative to present the viewers,
contextually required legal information, particularly in the form
of various court judgments in simple language and lucid presentation.
Speaking for Indian context, the discipline of medical law and ethics
is not only in its formative phase, but also substantial portion
of this law is in the form of uncodified decisional law. Therefore,
there is every need for disseminating various legal principles that
are subjected to judicial interpretation. This is the precise objective
this particular column seeks to achieve. Acco rdingly
it is proposed to present select judicial decisions from different
forums like civil, consumer, constitutional and criminal courts.
