The Natcon IASO 2000 will be held at Puri, Orissa, from Sept. 15-7-2000. Organising Secretary for the conference will be Dr. K. Panda. His address for correspondence is as follows : -

The theme for the conference will be Head and Neck Cancer. Various symposia will be held on topics like Cancer of Tongue, Larynx and Thyroid. Active participation by all the member of the IASO is anticipated. I am sure you eill be sending free papers for oral and poster presentations.

                                                                    One time Fellowship to USA

Wayne state university Department of Surgical Oncology University Health Center Detroit has offered fellowship for the year 2000 for a yound member of IASO for a period of one month at Detroit Medical Center U.S.A.

          GUIDELINES
FOR THE WAYNE STATE UNIVERSITY VISITING
                FELLOWSHIP FOR IASO MEMBER OF THE YEAR 2000-2001

• The candidate should be an IASO member and 45 years old or less.
• The award will carry $ 1000/- only as the award money and sponsored Resident hostel facilities for month in the Detroit Medical Center (DMC). The awardee will spend one month in the Department of Surgical Oncology of DMC as an official observer.
• The awardee will arrange his own to and fro Airfare and he will submit a certificate to that effect along with the application.
• The candidate will submit 3 copies of Bio-data, recent passport size photograph and a copy of his research work in the field of surgical oncology conducted in India. The last date of receipt of application at the secretariat office of IASO is 15th July 2000.
• A Committee consisting of President, Pat President and the Secretary of the IASO will decide the award. The selected candidate will be informed during or before National conference of IASO being held at Puri during September 15-17, 2000.
